The blessing

When God created man in His image on the sixth day, He blessed them and said "be fruitful and multiply, to subdue the earth and have dominion over everything on the earth. He provided everything to meet every need and set man over all that He created. God's plan for man was to live as rulers.

The definition of dominion:

1. the power to govern; sovereign authority.

2. the act or fact of ruling; domination.

He provided everything we would need and put it under our control. God's plan has not changed. His plan was for man to lack nothing - to live in abundance.

Something else of note - man didn't have to struggle to get it. He didn't have to labor with the sweat of his brows.

It wasn't until the enemy came and deceived Eve into believing the lie that God was holding out on us that he was able to promote the lie that God wants anything other than for us to live in prosperity.

We have allowed the enemy to convince us that God wants anything less for us. As we continue this blog series, we will share more of God's plans for us and how through prosperity we can take the limits off of our lives and be able to promote the work of God's Kingdom and allow us not only to be blessed, but to be a blessing to others.
